  I cannot recommend Salisbury Fernwood more! The most supportive and caring staff teamed with amazing classes and trainers ! Always a happy face to greet you and the care placed upon your health and fitness needs is nothing but 100% ! They have helped inspire me to not only loose weight but fall in love with fitness

  Joining a gym was the best decision I made. It was doing wonders for my depression. In fact, I was enjoying my new fitness journey so much that I'd spend up to 3-4 hours a day 5-6x a week at the gym. I only used weight equipment so it's not like I was a nuisance by using up all electricity (even though that shouldn't be a problem because the fees are so expensive). It started slow, but gradually got worse. The staff, specifically the owner, would treat me poorly. I can't remember her name but she's the one with the long black hair, straight cut fringe across her forehead and a little chubby. I'd get remarks like "Don't you have a life?" "Omg, you're still here?!" And dirty looks. I'd get these remakes daily by each different staff which meant they all talked about me behind my back. They wouldn't acknowledge me when it would be time to leave. The owner would look irritated with me and roll her eyes. Eventually all the staff were mocking me. When they'd have staff meetings they'd look at me and snicker. Gym wasn't enjoyable anymore. My fitness progress started lacking. I even cut my workout time down so they'd hate me less but I still got the same attitude. My workout itself would be 2 hours but after I'd eat there to get my proteins in ASAP and then wait for my bus which is why it often took long. The last straw was one day when I was done my workout the owner flung my gym card at me with the most disgusted facial expression as if if the sight of me turned her off. She did this in front of the other staff and other members I felt awful and held back my tears. The next day I asked to be transferred to the city Fernwood. I was not going to continue paying them to bully me. The staff are bullies and it's sad that their behaviour is led by the owner. I felt so isolated. I couldn't report the staffs treatment to the boss because she was worse than them. Instead of encouraging members to achieve their fitness goals and praising them for taking fitness seriously, instead they mocked me for it. Definitely would not recommend this gym.

  Good equipment, terrible staff. High fees, small gym, will try to scam you into spending more money. If you try and make the most of the gym for the fee you're paying you won't be made welcome anymore. Terrible. Gym would be worth more stars without a complete new set of staff and promotion methods.
